From January 27 to 30, a delegation led by Jeevan Khatri, Mayor of Changunarayan Municipality of Nepal, visited Yancheng to deepen practical cooperation and achieve win-win development. On the afternoon of January 28, Yan Hanping, Mayor of Yancheng, met with the delegation.
Yan Hanping extended a warm welcome to Jeevan Khatri and his delegation. He briefly introduced Yancheng’s economic and social development, expressing the hope that the two sides could carry out more practical cooperation in areas including integrated cultural and tourism development, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and education and technology, so as to make greater contributions to the friendly exchanges between China and Nepal.
Jeevan Khatri stated that Yancheng’s modern urban image and vibrant development vitality have left a deep impression on the delegation. Changunarayan Municipality is actively advancing the construction of a modern city and attaches great importance to the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage. It is expected that this visit will serve as an opportunity to promote closer communication and exchanges between the two cities in such fields as cultural tourism and urban governance, facilitate mutual learning, and make greater contributions to the long-standing friendship and common development of both sides.
