On the morning of January 26, Zhou Bin, Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, met with a delegation led by Shehzad Ahmad Khan, Consul General of Pakistan in Shanghai, in Yancheng. The two sides held friendly exchanges on further deepening friendship and expanding cooperation.
On behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal People’s Government, Zhou Bin extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Shehzad Ahmad Khan. He briefly introduced the economic and social development of Yancheng, expressing the hope that the two sides would fully leverage their respective strengths, actively promote exchanges and cooperation in such fields as commerce and trade, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and tourism, and make greater contributions to an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
Shehzad Ahmad Khan stated that Yancheng’s distinctive natural endowments and solid industrial foundation are highly impressive, laying a solid groundwork for in-depth cooperation with Pakistan. He expressed the hope that the two sides would further deepen exchanges and strengthen cooperation in such fields as textiles, agriculture and new energy, so as to contribute to advancing the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Upgrade Version 2.0 and enriching the connotation of the Pakistan-China all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.
